GP to hold Grand Congress on Friday
The Guérilla Populaire announces a Grand Congress to discuss key issues
The Guérilla Populaire announced that it will hold a Grand Congress in an undisclosed location via a press release today.
Several topics are mentioned on the agenda, such as the worsening relations with the Cartel de Vin, the restoration and staffing of several government agencies and a potential centralization of command.
The news come as little surprise after the purported attack on an ION truck a few days ago, which saw immediate crackdowns on GP position in Cartel led territories. Several incidents were reported between GP and ION employees, though none turned into firefights. According to several sources, the situation had been actively worsening over the last few weeks, as GP members feel harassed by ION in their own home town.

The announcement also follows an extraction of GP - Le Port leader Jesus LaRue, who has allegedly been moved into the northern territories of the GP. According to insiders LaRue had felt increasingly exasperated by the continued harassment of both citizens and GP members, especially since hi is often credited for establishing the alliance between the CdV and the GP in the first place. Since then ION, who are not officially part of the government, have strong-armed themselves into a quasi-governmental role on the southern part of the island. Finally, adding onto the frustrations are multiple reports of citizens completely disappearing.
While no formal invitation has been extended to this journalist, I will none-the-less attempt to attend the Congress.
