BREAKING - REPUBLIQUE OF MALDEN OFFICIALLY SURRENDERS
Former Président Moulin announces transfer of power to GP officials
Colonel Maçon and Président Moulin have symbolically announced that the government of the République de Malden is accepting the offer for a conditional surrender offered by the GP. The negotiations took place last week, according to several eye witnesses in the area.
The offer to surrender includes several guarantees to remaining RdM personnel, such as a renewed commitment to full amnesties and allowances and the right to freely leave the island for Maçon and Moulin. Remaining RdM personnel has been ordered to either stand down and surrender any materiel to GP stations or to notify the GP of their position and accept orders from them as their new supreme commanders. The contract includes full transfer of power, intelligence, data and files to GP officials. While the RdM had struggled to project it’s power internationally, the remaining overseas personnel have been ordered to remain posted until otherwise instructed and, until relieved, to continue on their duties as outlined by Malden law.

GP - La TrinitĂ© leader and unofficial spokesperson Arsène Barbier reaffirmed the commitment to the GP’s intentions laid out in the open report in the wake of the Grand Congress on the 4th of April. He did comment that due to the ongoing conflict with ION martial law will remain in effect until time permits to fully lift it. He, nonetheless, is pleased with the outcome of the negotiations and hopes for a brighter future for Malden.
