Interpol has announced that it will issue, publish and enforce two red notices that target Robert Blanchard and Adrienne Durand, chairman in absentia and acting chairman of the Cartel de Vin, respectively.

The notices, which spreads information about wanted criminals internationally, were requested to be issued by the National Crime Agency (NCA), after a memo leaked that implicated ION Security to be responsible in several crimes on Malden. ION itself has been present on Malden due to a security contract with the CdV, for which they provide security. At the same time, multiple incidents with Malta-based private security company FROG have caught the NCA’s attention and guided their decision to issue the notices for the contract providers at this point. Ms. Pearce, a spokeswoman for the NCA, has indicated that the agency may post additional notices depending on the outcomes of the ensuing lawsuits.

FROG, which is acting on a broad mandate provided by the current government of the GP, has made immense contributions to providing a lasting peace on Malden and is credited with bringing the GP and the former government to a table. They are however, embroiled in several controversies; the latest, a claim made by ION, alleges that FROG attacked a villa in the south of Malden owned by Blanchard and kidnapped him, during which up to 40 ION personnel died.

ION has commented, arguing that while they are largely British citizens, the ongoing hostilities with the GP and FROG are putting ION personnel and it’s employers at substantial risk, preventing them from delivering Durand safely’. Operational Manager for North Africa Jack Walker has issued the following statement:

‘At this time, we will not be allocating resources to assist with the enforcement of the Interpol red notice. Our operational priorities remain focused on containing potential threats in our allocated operational sector, where tensions with GP elements continue to be an issue. Additionally, there are unresolved concerns regarding FROG’s recent activities, including hostile actions against our employers and credible indications of destabilizing actions. Until these matters are addressed and our current commitments are stabilized, we are unable to divert personnel or assets to support external law enforcement efforts. We appreciate your understanding.’
